“The [family] thought it was hilarious. We don’t really have that much dancing experience in our family, but it’s going to be really funny to see them there at the shows,” Robertson said on “GMA,” adding that she might be able practice with Uncle Si.

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater

Waltrip is a two-time winner of the Daytona 500, NASCAR’s crown jewel event. He’s one of only ten multi-time winners, and went on to become a NASCAR broadcaster. Now, he will compete on "DWTS" with Emma Slater.

Lolo Jones and Keo Motsepe

The season would not be complete without an Olympian! Track and Field star, Lolo Jones, follows in the footsteps of Sochi Olympic ice dancing duo, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Shawn Johnson, Apollo Anton Ono, and more. She’s paired up with newbie pro Keo Motsepe. “It’s a lot of pressure. I’m definitely going to be calling [Meryl Davis] for tips,” Jones said today.

Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker

Best known as Aaron Samuels in “Mean Girls,” actor Jonathan Bennett will bring his “fetch” dance moves to the ballroom with new pro partner Allison Holker. The American professional dancer, 26, joins the "DWTS" cast this season.

The actress, best known for her role as the various incarnations of Lorraine McFly in the “Back to the Future” franchise, will partner up with new pro Artem Chigvintsev.

Near the start of the "Dancing with the Stars" episode that aired Monday, May 5 - celebrity dancing duels night - U-M student and Olympic ice dancing gold medalist Charlie White was pronounced "safe," and he and partner Sharna Burgess danced a quickstep that finally earned the perfect score that White's been striving for.

White's ice dancing partner (and fellow U-M student) Meryl Davis, meanwhile, performed a rumba with her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy, and the judges weren't as impressed.

It probably didn't help that before the judges revealed their scores, Chmerkovskiy said of guest star Abby Lee Miller, star of "Dance Moms," "I really don't care for anything she has to say."
Miller gave them an 8, Len and Carrie Ann issued 9s, while Bruno gave them a 10.

The episode also featured DWTS' first-ever "celebrity dance duels," in which two couples start a routine together, then the pros step off the stage, leaving the celebrities to dance together. Meryl and Danica McKellar were first, and the judges had a good bit of criticism for the pair. Carrie Ann and Miller each gave them an 8, while Len and Bruno both awarded them a 9.

White, meanwhile, continued to flip the script, dancing with Candace Cameron Bure and earning high praise and scores from the judges: two 9s and two 10s.ee Charlie White's 'perfect' DWTS quickstep and Meryl Davis' rumba

Dancing with the Stars the Switch up

Dancing with the Stars will see some changes this week, but is the Switch Up really as the show describes?
Recently, Kristyn Burtt, who is an entertainment writer and host of AfterBuzz TV's Dancing with the Stars segment, suggested that the Switch Up may not be what it seems. Fans have been told that their votes decide which celebrity will dance with which professional dancer. Burtt, however, seems to think this is not the case.
"I wish I knew. One celeb knew who they had and then was switched....so...um...weird," Burtt said via Twitter when asked how this week's pairs were made.
When asked if season 18 has been Dancing with the Stars' "most manipulated season ever," or if there has just been more information leaking out than normal, Burtt suggested it is "a little bit of both." She cites "sources tied to the show."
